Privacy Policy

1. Information used by the app

FuzzyTask stores ideas, tasks, subtasks, categories, scheduled items, reflective answers, completion history, preferences and app state in its private storage on your Android device. This information supports capture, prioritization, reminders and progress views. The app does not require a separate FuzzyTask account or sign-in.

The reviewed Android implementation processes task content on the device. Its network integration is with Google Play for subscription functionality; task text and reflective answers are not included in those billing requests. FuzzyTask does not add advertising or a separate app-analytics or third-party crash-reporting service. Google Play Billing includes its own technical diagnostics, described below.

2. Google Play purchases and subscription information

Subscriptions are purchased inside the Android app through Google Play. Google processes the transaction and payment method. FuzzyTask receives billing information through the Play Billing integration to display eligible offers, retrieve purchase history, check subscription ownership, acknowledge purchases using purchase tokens, restore access and determine whether editing features are available.

This information includes product and offer details, purchase tokens, purchase state, acknowledgement status and signed purchase records. Purchase records may contain transaction references and purchase times. The app examines these records on the device. Its persistent billing file stores purchase tokens, acknowledgement work and timestamps used for access checks; this file is separate from task content and excluded from Android backup.

The current integration does not send receipts or task content to a developer-operated verification service or to RevenueCat. Google handles its own account, payment, transaction and service information under Google’s Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play terms. FuzzyTask’s billing interface does not provide the app with your full payment-card details.

Billing-library diagnostics: the Android implementation uses Google Play Billing Library 8.0.0, which includes Google DataTransport/CCT components and emits technical diagnostics associated with the billing library. These diagnostics can include device and operating-system/build information, locale, network information and the app version. They also include a randomly generated identifier for the billing-client session, attached to multiple billing diagnostic events. This session identifier is not an advertising ID, hardware serial or persistent installation identifier. They are transmitted to Google for billing-service diagnostics. Task text and reflective answers are not included in these diagnostic or billing requests. Google handles this technical information under its own privacy practices; the app does not receive your full payment-card details.

Complimentary access codes, where supported: if your app version accepts an issued complimentary code, its signature is checked on your device and the resulting license proof is stored locally, separately from Google Play purchase records. This code verification does not require sending the code to a developer-operated verification server or creating a FuzzyTask account. This conditional description does not announce current public availability of code redemption.

3. Notifications and permissions

Reminders are scheduled as local Android notifications. Depending on your choices, notification content can contain task or schedule text. FuzzyTask includes a setting to hide reminder details on the lock screen; Android’s own notification settings also affect visibility.

The Android app declares notification, reboot and alarm permissions for reminders, and internet, network-state and billing permissions for Google Play subscriptions. Subscription checks require Google Play connectivity; ordinary task-content processing remains on the device. Permission settings and Android behavior affect delivery.

4. Device backup, export and import

Android backup and transfer rules include the app’s task-data storage. Whether data is backed up or restored depends on the operating system, backup provider, account, device and settings. This policy does not promise recovery after loss, reset or a device change. The separate billing cache is excluded from backup; subscription access is checked with Google Play.

When you export a migration file, the app creates a file and opens the device share sheet. You choose its destination. Import reads a file you select and replaces the current app records covered by the import; it is not a merge. Subscription entitlement is not transferred by that file.

The read-only archive also offers a text export through the clipboard. Clipboard managers, share destinations, file-storage services and Android backup providers handle copies under their own settings and policies.

5. Retention and deletion

App content: records are kept in app storage until you remove them using available controls, replace them through import, or remove app storage through Android. Quiet-shelf retirement changes visibility; it is not deletion. Individual task removal should not be understood as a command to erase every other record or completion-history entry.

All local app storage: use Android’s app-storage controls to clear FuzzyTask data, or uninstall the app. This can remove local task records and the local billing file. It does not cancel a subscription or automatically remove exported files, clipboard copies, backup-provider copies, or Google’s transaction records. Manage those copies with their respective providers. Reinstall or restore may bring back backed-up data depending on Android settings.

Billing records: the local file is updated as ownership and acknowledgement state are reconciled. Unreadable billing files may be preserved locally for recovery. The current bounded offline-access period is not a data-deletion period; billing information is not automatically erased merely because that period ends. Google’s retention of purchase records is governed by its own policies.

Support correspondence: if you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to and manage your request. Messages addressed to hello@fuzzytask.app are forwarded by Porkbun to a Gmail inbox managed by Zeek Labs. Porkbun and Google process the email address, message content and associated delivery information to provide these services. Do not send payment-card details, passwords or unnecessary task content.

Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle the request, follow up on unresolved matters and meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion by emailing support; relevant legal obligations may require retaining some records. Email providers may keep separate copies under their own policies.

6. Storage protections

App records are held in Android app-private storage. The current app does not add its own encryption layer to task files. Device locks, operating-system protections and backup-provider protections depend on their respective settings. Google Play communications are handled by the Play Billing components. These descriptions are not a guarantee of confidentiality, uninterrupted access or recovery.

7. Android app policy scope

This policy covers the Android app, its Google Play subscription integration and support correspondence. Website visit and launch-list information is described separately in the Website Privacy Notice. There is no web subscription checkout.

8. Audience and requests

FuzzyTask is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not intended for users under 18. The current configured subscription catalog is for the United States; this does not announce public availability or availability elsewhere.

Contact support to ask about information handling or requests relating to information you have provided to the operator. Local app records, Google purchase records and provider-managed copies may require different controls. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live and the circumstances; this policy does not limit rights available under law.

9. Contact and policy changes

Email hello@fuzzytask.app with privacy questions or requests. Support may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence or transaction; please provide only what is necessary.

Material changes to information handling will be reflected in an updated policy and communicated as required by applicable law.
